Thousands of people in costume, in one park, all afternoon, in the best mood Davis gets all year. There is no better day to put your business in front of this town, and the money the festival makes builds trikes for children who have never been able to ride one. Bring a booth, run a station, hand out something brilliant. Whatever you are picturing, we probably want it.

The festival ends at Community Park when the skydivers land, around 2:45pm, and the Downtown Trick-or-Treat Trail runs 3 to 5pm. Take the park path west past the pool, then the B Street bike lane south to the 5th Street light. About 0.8 miles.
The trip downtown is a suggestion only. It is not led, escorted or supervised by festival staff.
Our main recommendation for cars is the Davis Senior High School parking lots, 315 W. 14th Street, a short walk from Community Park. Bike parking at the festival is FREE and plentiful.
The Davis Arts Center parking lot is closed to the public during the festival. It is reserved for vendors and the Zombie team.
The Bike Campaign and The Bike Garage host this event. They do bike repairs and sell good quality used bikes, so they are the first place to go if you need wheels or need yours looked at.
SPIN is the easy one, and it is why you can come to Davis for this without owning a bike at all. Download the app, unlock a SPIN bike or scooter, and join the parade. They are parked all over town, so open the app map and take the nearest one.
Apex Cycles run the mechanic station on the day. Davis Cyclery and Green Bicycle Depot are worth a call too. Reserve early on Halloweekend.
Davis is flat, and the route runs on the city’s bike paths and through quiet neighborhoods rather than alongside traffic. That is a large part of why this works as a family ride.
If you need anything on the day, head for Zombie Headquarters at Community Park. That is where the volunteers are. It is marked on the guide map.
You do not have to do the ride. Plenty of families skip the parade entirely and spend the day at Community Park, where the stations, the food, the bounce houses and the skydiving finale all are. Children under 10 need to be supervised, and there is no charge for any of it.
NorCal Trykers' Mini Parade is the shorter ride, at whatever pace its riders want, setting off from near Holmes Junior High rather than the Community Park start line. It is run by NorCal Trykers, the festival's beneficiary, for their riders and families. To take part, contact founder Gill Williams at gill.williams@norcaltrykers.com.
The parade rides in light rain. The skydiving finale depends on wind and visibility and can be called off on the day, and the same goes for anything else affected by weather or events outside our control. 6th Annual Trunk or Treat: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 2pm to 4:30pm. Bounce houses, dancing, trunk-or-treating, face painting, food trucks and an indoor playspace. Saturday, October 17, 2–4:30pm; sensory-friendly time 1:30–2pm. Hosted by Sweet Peas, Mirror Image Dance Company, IAA and SwimAmerica. Want to host a booth or trunk?
