Zombies come alive and attack in an augmented reality first-person “thrower.” Free to play on your phone, with no installation required. Point your phone at the ground in front of you and the zombies climb out of it, filmed and built on location at Community Park, so the park you are standing in is the park in the game. Your weapons are a water bottle and a carrot, so it stays firmly family-friendly.

Founder Jeff Steele is holding the game launch for festival day. Come to the booth and he will get you playing.

Free for everyone at the festival. Saturday, October 31, 11am to 3pm, at Community Park.

About Xtra Round Games

Xtra Round Games is a Davis company making multiplayer tabletop augmented reality games for businesses that want to increase dwell time, along with bigger games for events. The games are web apps: players scan in and they are straight into the queue to play, with no app store and no installation, on iPhone or Android. They are designed to get people socialising in person, while still letting everyone hide behind their phone a little.

The company is currently running a free pilot program, letting a business try the system at their own establishment to see how it works, with no contract and no obligation.

Founded by Jeff Steele, who is also on the Zombie Bike Parade committee and helps run the Zombies Video Game station inside the Davis Arts Center on festival day.
