2026 festival at a glance
The Zombie Bike Parade Festival is Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Park, 1405 F Street, Davis, CA 95616. Admission is FREE, all ages are welcome, and riding a bike is optional. The festival benefits NorCal Trykers.
The parade runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; arrive by 10:30 a.m. The route is just under five miles, from Community Park to Mace Ranch Park and back. The skydiving finale is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Community Park, weather permitting. See the current festival guide for the full day.
Visit Davis, California, home of the West Coast’s Zombie Bike Parade Halloweekend Festival
Throughout October, experience endless Halloween spectacles culminating in Davis’ famous Zombie Bike Parade Festival. Encounter mad scientists, rotting robots, dancing dead, music, family-friendly mayhem, swords, lasers, and a skydiving grand finale.
The Davis Odd Fellows, The Bike Campaign and the Davis Bike Club are delighted to partner with more than 130 sponsors, collaborators and media partners to provide unforgettable Halloweekend experiences, and we could not do it without the big time zombie-raising power of Hallmark Properties, the City of Davis, Action Flipbooks and Dump Dawgz.
Why it exists
The Zombie Bike Parade’s mission has always been to make bicycling available to everyone, including children with disabilities. Over the past seven years, event organizers have raised funds, primarily from sponsors, and donated more than $50,000 to NorCal Trykers, an organization that creates custom tricycles for children with disabilities. Each tricycle costs about $1,600 to make, and funds from our events have provided 42 children with custom tricycles so far. These children get to experience the freedom of riding a bicycle and feeling the wind in their hair for the first time.
Make a weekend of it
If you are visiting from out of town, arrive no later than Friday for a Halloweekend to remember. Immerse yourself in all things Davis: art, culture, a vibrant nightlife and wonderful lodging. Book a room in one of our 13 hotels, visit the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden, and stroll our downtown. Do not forget to bring, buy or rent a bike. Davis has a variety of bike shops, including our featured partners Davis Cyclery, Green Bicycle Depot and the Bike Garage.
Zombie activities begin with Mirror Image Dance Company’s Trunk-or-Treat Extravaganza: face painting, dancing, a costume runway, bounce houses and treats. No Friday night grown-up Halloween party is happening in 2026.
Saturday, October 31st
More than 100 local and regional organizations have come together to surprise families with a monstrously large Halloween present. Our organizers invite visitors and residents alike to join thousands of Halloween creatures for the ride of your life at our 8th annual, family-friendly Zombie Bike Parade Festival and Downtown Trick-or-Treat Trail.
At Community Park, enjoy more than 25 entertainment stations, a Halloween train, zombie bike mechanics, music, arts, crafts, live bats and festival games. Expect Halloween acrobats, talented singers and dancers, and an official zombie festival video game. Children can jump into the Halloween spirit with two bounce houses and slides, generously provided by Lowenthal APC, your local real estate attorneys.
Entertainment stations range from interactive opportunities, such as engaging with local Davis groups like the robotics team Citrus Circuits and the Davis Fencing Academy, to epic spectacles such as zombies on stilts, an entire Halloween marching band, sponsored in part by Pakpour Banks LLP, and pop-up brain juice and brain bites stations run by neighborhood children along the route. Participants can also join the Zombie Kingdom Quest, solve a Halloween riddle and earn a FREE board game and candy.
The bike parade runs 11am to 12:30pm along safe bike paths and through the neighborhoods of Davis, from Community Park to Mace Ranch Park and back, under five miles. As a bonus for riding, at the halfway point participants watch a BMX stunt show with performers doing unearthly flips and tricks, brought to you by Kim Eichorn of Windermere Real Estate.
The parade itself is for bicycles, plus scooters and anything similar that can keep pace with the ride, which moves at a normal bicycling rate. The festival at Community Park is for everybody, on anything. Pedestrians, scooters, skateboards, prams, wheelchairs, powerchairs and every other kind of active mobility are welcome there, and the majority of the day’s festivities happen at the park rather than out on the route. Community Park is also where the Skydance Skydiving grand finale at 2:30pm lands.
