A free community festival run by volunteers. These are the promises behind that, written plainly and kept short on purpose.
Everyone is welcome
The Zombie Bike Parade Festival is free and open to everybody. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, national origin, ancestry, religion, age, disability, medical condition, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This applies the whole way through: to anyone who turns up on the day, and to our volunteers, crew, vendors, sponsors and partners.
If you are treated badly at the festival, find any volunteer in a crew shirt or come to Zombie Headquarters at Community Park. On any other day, email us and a real person will read it.
How we expect people to behave
Costumes are the point, so make them as horrible as you like, but keep them family friendly: this is an event full of small children. Harassment, threats and abuse are not welcome and anyone doing it will be asked to leave. The riding rules are separate and live on their own page.
Photography at the festival
The festival happens in public, and it is photographed and filmed. Pictures taken at the event may appear on this website, in our galleries, in the press and on social media. If a photograph of you or your child is up and you would rather it was not, tell us and we will take it down. You do not have to explain why.
What this website collects
Only what you type into a form, which is what we need to answer you: your name, your email, and whatever else that form asks for. We use it to run the festival and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone outside the festival, and we do not email you things you did not ask for.
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It tells us how many, not who. If you want everything we hold about you sent to you or deleted, ask, and we will do it.
Accessibility
The festival is open to everyone however you get there, and wheelchairs, powerchairs, prams and anything else you move around on are welcome across the whole site. The details, including accessible toilets and where to find help on the day, are answered on the FAQ.
