What is already there
The festival takes over Community Park, but the park is worth knowing about on its own. Here is what is there before we add the zombies.
The bike pump track
Davis got its own pump track at Community Park, and it opened on Sunday October 29, 2023, which happened to be Zombie Bike Parade weekend. It is a loop of rollers and berms you ride without pedalling, FREE, open to anyone with a bike and a helmet, and it is right beside the festival. Expect a queue of small zombies.
The skate park
Newly renovated in 2026, and open through the festival. Bring a board and a helmet. At 12:30, it hosts the Monster Skate Jam, free to watch, from Davis Skateboarding Group.
Rainbow City playground
The big colourful play structure at Community Park, and the easiest place to lose an afternoon if you have brought small children. It sits within sight of most of the festival.
Picnic areas
Tables and lawn across the park. Bring a blanket if you want a spot near the stage, because the shaded tables go early.
Bike parking
This is a bike parade in a platinum-rated bicycle friendly town, so there is a lot of it. Bring a lock, and remember which zombie you parked next to.
Restrooms
Permanent restrooms at Community Park, plus more inside the Davis Arts Center and the Davis Library, both of which are open during the festival. The Library also has water refills.
Water
Drinking fountains in the park, and water bottle refills at the Davis Library. Bring a bottle: it is October in the Central Valley and it can still be warm.
