Davis Line Dance bring the line dancing to Community Park, and the point of a line dance is that you do not need to know it. Stand at the back, watch the feet in front of you, and you will have it by the second chorus. That is the entire skill. Halloween themed, casual, and you can leave whenever you like.
Who they are
A Davis group that has been gathering since 2023 as, in their own words, a way to foster community through dancing. They started offering low-cost classes to the public in September 2023 and now run free ones too, at the Davis Community Church Fellowship Hall, the Odd Fellows lodge, Stonegate Country Club and the Davis Public Library. Most of what they run is open to anyone.
They also give free performances at local retirement communities, which is the sort of thing a group does when it is not really about the dancing.
The Odd Fellows lodge on their venue list is the same Odd Fellows who host this festival, which is roughly how everything in this town works.
Coming along
No partner, no experience and no costume required, though you will be in a minority without the costume. Nobody is watching you; everybody is watching the person in front of them, which is the whole beauty of it.
