Davis Downtown is the 32-block business improvement district formed in 1989, working in marketing, events and advocacy. Its 2026 Downtown Discovery Fest filled nine August days with family activities, a Coffee Trail, a Golden Ticket hunt and Shop Small Weekend. DDBA supports the businesses and public life that make downtown worth trick-or-treating through.
Treat Trail
Two full hours collecting candy at dozens of downtown businesses. Start at Davis Commons, then carry on into the rest of downtown.
Getting downtown after the skydiving finale
Our festival ends at Community Park when the skydivers land, around 2:45pm. Heading to the Downtown Trick-or-Treat Trail (3 to 5pm)? Here is the bike route we suggest. Once you cross 5th Street, you are downtown. No rush: the trail runs two full hours.
- From the drop zone, roll west on the park path toward the dog park and the pool. Ride slow, the park is full of little kids.
- Turn left at the pool and follow the path south. It runs past the Vets Hall and drops you at 14th Street.
- Cross 14th Street at B Street. Marked crossing. Wait for your whole group, then go together.
- Ride south on B Street in the bike lane for 8 quiet blocks. Cross 8th Street at the light.
- 5th Street: cross at the light. This is the one big street. Russell Blvd joins here, so look both ways twice.
- You made it. Central Park is on your left. Lock up at Central Park or keep heading downtown. Bicycle parking is available on a majority of downtown streets.
The Zombie Bike Parade Festival ends at Community Park after the skydiving finale. Travel to the Trick-or-Treat Trail is not a festival activity and is not led, escorted or supervised by festival staff or volunteers. The Trick-or-Treat Trail is a separate event run by the Davis Downtown Business Association. This route is a suggestion only. Follow all traffic laws, wear a helmet, and use your own judgment about road and crowd conditions.

The Treat Trail is a separate Davis Downtown Business Association event from the Zombie Bike Parade Festival. In years when the events land on the same date, they have been scheduled one after the other. The festival has always sent its audience downtown afterward—whether for the Zombie Ball, the Zombie Mash Afterparty, fire-dancing performances or the Treat Trail. In 2026, the Treat Trail begins just after the skydiving finale, giving costumed families a downtown next stop and local businesses a busy Halloween afternoon.
Tips
- Start at Davis Commons, then work your way north and east through downtown.
- Bike parking is available throughout downtown if you ride in from Community Park.
- Follow @davis.downtown on Instagram and Facebook for DDBA's own updates.

The Trick-or-Treat Trail is produced by the Davis Downtown Business Association. The Zombie Bike Parade Festival built and hosts this map as a free service to them and to downtown Davis.
The list of stops is DDBA's to confirm, so we are not showing last year's as if it were this year's. The map comes back the day they publish the 2026 trail.
