Leading the Way: The Bike Campaign & Davis Bike Club

The Zombie Bike Parade Festival is famous for its massive ride through Davis—but did you know it’s powered by two of our community’s most dedicated bicycling nonprofits?

The Bike Campaign and The Davis Bike Club don’t just sponsor this event—they literally lead the ride! These volunteer heroes serve as ride leaders, ride guides, and crossing guards, keeping the parade safe and fun as hundreds (if not thousands) of riders roll from Community Park to Mace Ranch Park and back again. Without them, the parade wouldn’t move!

💀 Join the TraditionOn Sunday, October 26th from 11:00am–3:30pm, gather at Community Park in Davis for a FREE Halloween festival that celebrates active mobility, community, and fun:

🎪 20+ entertainment stations 🎭 Zombies on stilts, a Halloween marching band & DJ Mellax with the giant inflatable octopus 🍔 Food & drink vendors 🔧 Zombie bike mechanics 🏰 A “Zombie Kingdom Quest” with photo ops & prizes

🚲 Parade Ride: 11:30am–1pm Line up early and ride with us! Bike (or scoot, skate, roll, or stroll) under five miles round-trip in full Halloween spirit—costumes encouraged.

Can’t ride? That’s okay! The festival grounds at Community Park are bursting with activities for all ages and all modes of movement.

🎃 Huge thanks to The Bike Campaign and Davis Bike Club—the true engines of this tradition—for guiding us year after year.
