FREE Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides at the Davis Cemetery

Something Davis has never done before… FREE tethered hot air balloon rides for the community! Join us as we take flight over over the Davis Cemetery & Arboretum!

Ride your bike out on Saturday October 25th from 8:30–10:30am for the festival’s opening ceremony with FREE tethered balloon rides powered by Davis Food Co-op.

Only 150 lucky riders (ages 5+) will get to go up—first come, first served. But EVERYONE is welcome to gather, watch, and take amazing selfies as we make history together.

Plus, celebrate the NorCal Trykers tricycle giveaway—giving custom trikes to kids with disabilities. We’ll hear brief remarks from County and City of Davis representatives, as well as reps from The Bike Campaign, Davis Bike Club, and the Davis Odd Fellows. This will also be the perfect chance to purchase Acai Fresh's signature Açaí bowls with fresh fruits, granola, and honey for a satisfying and energizing breakfast.

While at the Cemetery you'll also be able to enjoy an amazing art installation, the COVID-19 Memorial, installed last year. The installation features a series of intricately sculpted and painted mosaic archways rich in symbolism and meaning.
