This post is dedicated to two of the longtime sponsors of Davis' Zombie Bike Parade Festival: Visit Yolo and the Davis Downtown Business Association (DDBA).
While many sponsors enjoy the spotlight, these two shine by turning it outward—highlighting the businesses, eateries, organizations, and experiences that make Yolo County and downtown Davis so special.
Visit Yolo showcases the incredible places, flavors, and events that make our county vibrant, inviting visitors and locals alike to explore something new.

The DDBA keeps downtown thriving by lifting up the shops, restaurants, and services that give Davis its character and by connecting people through community events.
In their spirit, our zombies did the same during this year’s Zombie Photoshoot. We didn’t just stop by sponsors—we wandered the streets, surprising businesses and organizations who never saw us coming! The joy, laughter, and sometimes startled looks reminded us that the magic of the Zombie Bike Parade Festival is spreading spooky fun into every corner of Davis.
Here are just a few of the places we popped in on this year:

Taffach Ethiopian Restaurant – A gem in Davis, serving authentic Ethiopian cuisine with rich flavors, warm hospitality, and dishes perfect for sharing.
MAYA’S Authentic Mexican Food – Beloved for hearty portions, bold flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.
Community Employment Services (CES) – An inspiring organization that empowers people with developmental disabilities to find meaningful work and thrive in the community. Over the years, our festival has partnered with CES’s Buttons ’n Bears Oh My to create unique zombie memorabilia that fans love.
These zombie visits reflect what Visit Yolo and DDBA are all about—shining a light on the people, businesses, and organizations that give Davis and Yolo County its unique character.
So while our zombies may “feast on brains” wherever we find them , we also feast on community spirit—and we encourage everyone to get out there, explore, and support what makes our home so special.

Thank you again to Visit Yolo and the Davis Downtown for being such generous sponsors and for inspiring us to put the spotlight back where it belongs: on our amazing community.
